Coach
Daniel Rios

Coach Daniel has over two decades of coaching experience. He began coaching in 2007 and has worked with athletes from elementary school through college. Coach Daniel has held various head coaching positions, including Freshman Head Coach and Varsity Head Coach for Fairfax County Public Schools and Arlington Public Schools. He has also coached multiple travel teams in Northern Virginia, ranging from 12U to 18U, and has experience coaching at Trinity Washington University. Trained by Gold Medal Squared, he focuses on developing athletes' fundamentals and enhancing the overall quality of volleyball players.

Zola Ellington
Coach Zola grew up in Fairfax, VA, where she developed a passion for volleyball at a young age, playing throughout middle and high school as well as on competitive club teams in Northern Virginia. Her enthusiasm for working with youth led her to coach volleyball for elementary school and travel teams. Most recently, she has served as the head coach for the middle school girls' recreational program at VYI.

Kate Pyatt
Coach Kate brings a lifelong passion for athletics and a strong foundation in volleyball, having played from middle school through high school. As a coach, she is committed to developing young athletes through strong fundamentals, purposeful training, teamwork, and confidence-building. She creates a positive, structured environment where players are challenged to grow, encouraged to compete, and supported every step of the way.

Christian brings a background in teaching volleyball in schools. He enjoys helping young athletes build confidence, teamwork, and a love for the game. His encouraging approach creates a positive environment where players feel supported to learn and grow both as athletes and teammates.

Nathan
Nathan helps athletes set clear goals, stay focused, and grow through every challenge. With steady guidance, he supports their growth and confidence. Nathan runs the summer clinics for Monarch Elite Volleyball.

Floater Coach
Jordan
Jordan is excited to join the Monarch Elite Volleyball Club for the 2025-26 season, where he will bring an impressive wealth of on-court experience. Growing up in Lima, Peru, he grew up playing beach volleyball and played indoor volleyball during high school. As Coach, Jordan is dedicated to nurturing young players, transforming them into not only skilled athletes but also confident, well-rounded individuals in the sport of volleyball.
